Welcome to our family history archive! We're glad you're here and hope you enjoy what you see.

These pages contain many family surnames. Most prominent to our famlies are: Bratt, Cutter, Hawkins, Luper, Smith, Larrain, Hedlund, Petravage.

Ed's ancestors have been bouncing across the united states since, as early as the 1600's. The Bratt family originally came on the ship Rensserlaerswyck in 1637. They hung around in and about what is now known as Albany for hundreds of years. My grandfather, Edward Bratt, came to the Los Angeles area in the early 1920's where he made the acquaintance of a Miss Marjorie Hawkins. The Lupers came to the west coast via the Oregon Trail.

Larrain's family, by contrast, are more recent emigrants to the United States. The Petravage family came to Pennsylvania from Poland, to mine coal. The Rodriguez-Larrain family were well-to-do Spanish ancestry residents of Lima Peru. Emmigrating to the US to study, then practice medicine. Ultimately settling in the Chicago Illinois area.
