Harry was mill manager of the Kennebec Paper Co. at Madison, ME. He
graduated from The University of Maine in 1937. He also held management
positions with Oxford Paper Co. at Rumford and Frazier, Ltd. in New
Brunswick. He was an enthusiastic sportsman - fishing, hunting, golfing
and boating.

Harry married Davidson, Constance Macgregor on Yes, date unknown. Constance was born on 23 Dec 1911 in Scotland; died on 30 Sep 1999 in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Arthur was employed by the telephone company for 35 years (agent for NETC
in Castine). He was active in Telephone Pioneers and Masonry. His residence
was at the NE corner of Water and Green Streets in Castine.

Arthur married Gross, Carrie E. on Yes, date unknown. Carrie was born on 2 Oct 1894 in Castine, Hancock, Maine; died on 5 Sep 1976 in Penobscot, Hancock, Maine. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Carrie is daughter of John Gross and Ethel Robinson of Winter Habor, ME;
John went to sea (Grand Banks) for many years and was capt. of a private
yacht. Carrie and Arthur operated the telephone exchange in Castine for many
years.

Ezra served in the Navy during the War Between the States. He was a seaman, following
his father to the Grand Banks as a fisherman. He married in a double ceremony with his
sister, Elizabeth, at Penobscot before Justice of the Peace James Leach. His grandson
Gerald reported that Ezra served on the USS Constellation (sister ship to the
Constitution) during the blockade of the Mississippi River. His obituary reports:
"Capt. Ezra Conner, after a long illness, passed away at his home.... From a young man
he has followed the sea, and was in the government employ for six years. His later years
have been spent on vessels coasting up and down the Penobscot river. ...He was a member
of Charles Stevens Post, Grand Army of the Republic.... The services were held at the
Methodist church at 3 o'clock on Monday afternoon. Rev. Mr. Lowell officiated."

Ezra married Ordway, Ada on 17 Nov 1867 in Penobscot, Hancock, Maine. Ada was born about 1854; died on 9 Apr 1935. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Ada died on Good Friday at age 82. Another record states she was born 20
Aug 1840, but her marriage record states she was 15 in 1867 (more reasonable
in that she had a child in 1892). She r. in her later years with her son,
Arthur. Her funeral Easter Sunday at 2:30 p.m. was conducted in the Castine
Federated Church by The Rev. Oscar Olsen. Ada was age 26 in the 1880 census.
She belonged to the D.A.R.
