Godiva or "Godgifu" was born about 1010, a sister of Thorold of Buckingham
(Sheriff of Lincs.); she is the "Lady Godiva" of legend, and apparently is
of an old, noble family. One correspondent claims her father was Earl of
Lincolnshire.

Lady married Leofric, Earl of Mercia III on Yes, date unknown. III (son of Leofwine Earl of Mercia and Alwara) was born in 975 in Mercia, England; died on 31 Aug 1057 in Bromley, Staffordshire. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
