On September 5, 1992 in Chicago, Andrew married Kathleen C. Robinson. Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Kathleen C. Swihart, daughter, Cynthia "Cyd" Swihart, mother, Diana Swihart, maternal grandmother, Theresa Swihart, sisters, Susan (Judd) Hirschberg and Sally (Jeff) Shores. He was preceded in death by his father, Loren Swihart and sister, Diane Swihart. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2008, from 1 to 6 p.m., at Warren Funeral Home, 1475 N. Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL. There will be no funeral services. Interment will be private.
