    • Eunice, born March 26, 1781 ; married John, son of Phillips and Mary (Breed) Sawyer of Weare March 14, 1799. He was born June 25, 1774. They were Friends. He settled in Henniker, N. H., where he was a selectman for seven years, and represented the town in the legislature in 1812. He died in Henniker Jan. 3, 1841. She afterwards lived with her daughter Mary in Danvers, Mass., where she died April 24, 1877, at the age of ninety-six; and was buried in the Friends' burying ground at Henniker.
      Children, born at Henniker :
      1. Mary, born March 15, 1800; married Nathan Page Oct. 21, 1820. He was born at Weare June 2, 1793. They removed to Lincoln, Vt., in 1821 ; and from thence to Danvers about 1837. Mr. Page was a fluent and forceful preacher of the Society of Friends. At Danversport, he carried on a fine farm. They had six children. He died at Danvers July 26, 1883, at the age of ninety; and she died there Nov. 26, 1896, aged ninety-six. Their son John Sawyer Page married Maria Anna Gove.
      2. Moses, born Oct. 26, 1803; was superintendent of a cloth mill in Vermont while a minor; and then went to Amesbury, Mass., and for several years worked in the mills there. When twenty-eight years old, practically without capital, he formed a company and established the Weare Woolen Mills on the Piscataquog river, which he managed until 1880(6?). The company was incorporated in July. 1831, with a capital of twenty thousand dollars. The mill was burned in 1836, but rebuilt the next j^ear — the panic year of 1837; and in 1848 a second mill was added. He was a devoted Friend; and a member of the legislature in 1866. He married, first, Rebecca B. Morrill Oct. 23, 1833. She was born in Seabrook, N. H. ; and died April 2, 1848. He married, second, Hannah Bassett, widow of Jones June 23, 1852, at Dover, N. H. He had four children.
      3. Nathan, born April 28, 1806. He was in business with his brother Daniel at North Weare for a short time; otherwise, he always lived on the old homestead of his father at Henniker. He held many town offices. He married Anna Hodgdon of Weare Oct. 27, 1831. She was born April 20, 1809; and died July 5, 1885. They were Friends ; and had two children.
      4. Daniel, born July 26, 1808. He engaged in the wholesale grocery business in Portland, Me., when a young man; and, in 1833, returned to Weare. and for several years sold the products of the Weare Woolen Mills, which were managed by his brother Moses. In 1848, he opened the first general store in North Weare and continued in that business as long as he lived. He married Dorcas Neal Hodgdon of Weare July 6, 1831. She was born July 25, 1811 ; and died April 26, 1882. He died April 8. 1885. They had four children, one of whom is Hon. Oliver Dennett Sawyer, a Republican member of the New Hampshire State senate in 1887 and 1888.
