Aelfthryth ("Elfrida") is daughter of Ordgar, Ealdorman of Devon, and widow
of Ethelwald, Ealdorman of East Anglia. She became a nun in 986.
She m. (1) Ethelwald ca. 962 and had with him Edgar and Ethelfleda
