2401 I3391  Yeatman  Sarah  1779  28 Jun 1868  Sally Yeatman's brother, Griffin Yeatman, was one of the pioneer residents of Cincinnati, Ohio, moving there when it was known as Losantiville and had only a few houses. He ran a historic tavern known as the Square and Compass, overlooking one of the earliest landing places of the Ohio River, a cove still known atoday as Yeatman's Cove. The tavern was the center of all civic and social live and visited by such luminaries as Lafayette, Andrew Jackson, and Aaron Burr. He was the county recorder of Hamilton County for many years, He also served as justice of the peace.  bratt01
